Cold and numb the winds have turned
With no mercy, her life just spurned
People passing by, with not a look of concern
Her soul betrayed by a society she never deserved The wounds of time unopened and old
Yet they cut it open; when she wasn’t strong enough to cope
If the blood on their hands ever spoke,
they’d tell you that their sins were plenty and their sins were cold. So she shut herself from the world outside,
For she couldn’t stand the pain anymore
Her soul washed away in the tears she cried
Leaving only the memories behind
The memories from a long time ago.
